On the 3000, I believe the TC default is to only effect the notes you are recording. On the Ren, however, when you hit TC you automatically effect all the notes in the sequence.

Is there a way to get the Ren to only effect the note you want to record? So, for instance, if I have snare and kick recorded at 50% swing, and then I want to record a hi hat at 63%, is there a simple way to do that (other than selecting and de-selecting the pads) without effecting the rest of the notes in the sequence?

Figured it out.

Setting the swing parameters and hitting "close" applies it to future notes recorded. Hitting "do it" applies the quantize parameters to whatever all ready recorded events are selected in the "events" filter dialog box.
