Mpc1000 & Logic Pro x & bcf2000

anyone using Logic Pro x and mpc1000. Trying to set it up to use mpc as a controller and trigger sounds in logic. Also would like to have the synced and be able to ue sounds on mpc and logic... Any help would be greatly appreciated

anyone using Logic Pro x with an mpc1000. Trying to set up logic to use the mpc as a midi controller and trigger sounds in logic(but i would also like to be able to use sounds on the mpc as well. I would like to have the two of them synced. which shouldn't be that difficult...i just can't get logic to recognize midi out from the mp into logic... not very familiar w/ logic switched from pro tools recently...the bcf2000 is in lc mode and controls logic and i have the mpc connected thru its midi ports and i know its receiving the signal because every time i touch a pad the midi light lights up on the bcf2000. i also tested it in the audio midi setup on the mac and it triggers using the test midi option. i have the mpc and logic on midi track 1...but unable to trigger anything. i was advised i would have to set up the environment in logic. haven't been able to find info pertaining to logic pro x and mpc1000 setup. i contacted apple logic support and they were clue less please assist and thanks if you can help

wow...i see that this topic has been asked multiple times in the past....and not once have i seen an answer.... hopefully it is not impossible...come on guys... someone out there uses an mpc and logic pro .....guess i won't get my hopes up....

It's currently using Logic 9 for the example screenshots, but the settings required are the same for Logic X. All examples are given for MPC1000 as well as JJOS as well.

thanks for your reply... i was getting frustrated.. ..even after i purchased your book i wasn't able to get the midi to work. so i decided to choose new configuration in the midi studio setup and now my bcf2000 shows up with 2 in and out midi ports....loaded up your file and everything is working flawless!! not sure why it only showed up with 1 in the first place... just glad its working...thanks again
