Hi, today i'm encountering a unknown issue. So, When I go to the load screen, the mpc stops working. I have bought a new CF(SanDisk Ultra 2gb). What does the problem depend on? Maybe the CF? I have already formatted It and make it fat32. Sorry for my bad english. I would be grateful if you could help me.

I've had the same problem with the blue MPC1000 10 years ago. The CF reader was defective. No pins were bent. It's not all that common. But I've seen others post about the same problem before. If none of your CF cards work at all and the MPC freezes up, unfortunately you'll have to replace the entire PC board for the CF reader and be set back around $120. I'm not sure if MPC-Stuff or VST Service still carry the board. If not, you'll have to find a junk unit for cheap to get the board or install a hard drive if you're running the JJ OS. If you don't have JJ OS installed, you'll have no other choice but to replace the board with the CF reader.

distortedtekno wrote:The USB connection won't help since it needs a working CF to read from. Before you replace the CF PC board, try another CF card.

Could the problem be caused by anothers factors?
Sorry for the delay of my answer.

Try another CF card first, since that's the cheapest way to find out whether the problem is the other card you're using or if it's the CF reader. If the new card don't work, then you need a new CF reader.
