1.8.x bug reports (1.8.0, 1.8.1 & 1.8.2)

Trying to do some qlink mapping of omnisphere in program edit. Will only map q1-q4 on page 1. Not able to map the other 92 for some reason, It just wont except the mapping.

Lost communication once you remove/move MPC software from Insert/MIDI track, then you can't quit Pro Tools normally.
(If you want remove MPC software, you should delete it's insert track, then save your DAW.)

Once you lost communication, you can't record MIDI note via MPC studio/renaissance..

SEQ EDIT doesn't seem to work properly anymore: if i try to copy events from one track to another the ren just refuses to do this; please fix this

Noticed problems with audio output yesterday. I have a sequence that is quite long, appr 84 bars. When I tried to play it back, the sequence stuttered after appr. 20 bars. Stopped the sequence, played it from beginning, then it started stuttering after appr. 30 bars. Tried to load another project and upon hitting play in a sequence with about 24 bars, audio crashed with a notification that there is a problem with the audio device. Had to shut down the MPC software from task manager. Rebooted my computer and reloaded the first project. Again, after appr.20 bars some stuttering. Really annoying. Anyone got an idea what the cause might be? Didn't have these problems in 1.7.2.

All Superwave plugins no longer produce sound in 1.8.1.

They did produce sound in 1.7.2.

I have confirmed they work in other DAWs but will not work in MPC 1.8.1.

Not sure this could be considered a bug or a feature, in the Transport bar, if i set the display to time, save, exit the program, open program, load same project, the display is set back to bars, beats etc
would be cool to be able to have this set permanently.

Also,
in Song, the time line is set to bars, would be sweet to have this in time.
2 timelines would probably be the best.

Say i have transport set to bars beats, if i start playing the song from bar 50, the transport shows bar 50 as expected and starts counting as soon i hit play, cool.

If the transport bar is set to time, when i start playing the song from bar 50, transport starts counting from 0.

Strangely enough, this does not always happen. The other night I worked on the same 84 bar sequence for hours without a problem. And I played it back for like a million times as I had a friend over to record some vocals... Seems as if on some days the MPC doesn't like to work or something... Anyway, it is extremely annoying...

I Have (again) an issue with the preferences window.

After having played with mpc software without the hardware, I try to open the soft 1.8.1 connected to the mpc : the message "your audio device has changed" appear totally frozen, and I can't select "cancel" nor "go to preferences".

The only thing I can do is reboot my macbookpro.

I can open the software via logic, but not in stand alone !

I had this problem after the installation of 1.8, seems to be fixed with the patch 1.8.1, and then... again

I run with a macbook pro 2,3 Ghz intel core 2 duo.

Is anybody have the same issue, and found a workaround solution ?

I had the exact same problem in 1.7.2... I turned everything off and rebooted my Macbook. I opened the MPC software and that worked as the preference settings were as the last time I had used it. Went into preferences and changed the audio settings manually. Closed MPC software, turned on MPC Ren and 5 seconds later the software and everything was fine again.
Can't say how it is with 1.8.1 as I did not want to try again, afraid everything might freeze again.

So I found how to process in order to debug : reboot my mac, open mpc soft without the hardware, then connect it while the soft is still running, and go to preferences to change the audio device manually. A bit tricky, but it works.

ok, im i doing something wrong here? or is it really a major bug that has been around since beginning??

i still cant believe they havent fixed the T.C selected mode bug.

i simply cant t.c only the selected pads properly!

it only time corrects the pad that i have selected before i go in the T.C selected mode.

In Sample Edit Mode + after doing a Lazy Chop, when ever i try to adjust (move) my start marker, it jumps to another marker and also deletes the marker I was trying to move.

Has anyone else had this problem?

PROBLEM 1
Scrolling through the sample list from the Hardware while in Sample Edit mode while a Program is elected in the Project List, will scroll through samples that are not in the chosen Program.

Steps to reproduce:
(1) 5 samples loaded, 3 samples in Program B, 2 samples in Program A
(2) Enter Sample Edit and then the 'Program' tab Hardware
(3) Click Program B to select it in the software in Project list
(4) Use hardware Scroll wheel to scroll from third sample in Program B to first sample in Program B in the sample list
(5) Continue to scroll up the list, and even though you will already be at the top of the list, the software will continue to change the sample the appears in the first position and display samples from other programs (i.e. Program A).
(6) If you try to scroll back so that the first sample in Program B appears in the first position, the highlight will skip to the second sample and you cannot even click with the mouse to select the first sample in the first position.

I'm thinking if a Program is selected when in Sample Edit mode that you should only be able to scroll through the samples for that program from the hardware.



PROBLEM 2
When editing a sample that belongs to a program and then saving the Program, the software is not saving processed samples with the program.

Steps to reproduce:
(1) Open a program
(2) Edit stereo Kick on pad A1 and convert it to mono. (the software creates a mono version of the sample with a new name)
(3) Assign the newly created mono sample to pad A1 via drag and drop or scroll to the new sample
(4) Right click and save the Program (which I thought is supposed to save the program and samples in it)
(5) Close the project (do not save it, shouldn't need to for this)
(6) Open Project and load the program, go into sample edit
(7) Hit Pad a1 and the Stereo kick is still there on A. You will also find the converted sample is not among the samples in the sample list when the program is loaded AND the sample does not exist in the filesystem among the other samples in the folder where the Program was saved. It's just gone....
