Drag & Drop midi is the only feature I yearn for now. The midi import on the Ren deters me from using it so I use my DAW for this. All I have to do is drag it to the track not create a entire new sequence. The work around works well but I lose some inspiration during the process that way. None the less it gets done. I think drag and drop is standard so this frustrates me at times. :?

derpa derpa derrrrrrrr.... read what people posted :WTF: "Yes you can import MIDI files" They get imported to a new Sequence, copy the midi from that sequence to the sequence/track you want the MIDI file on.

hope that helps :-D

Though this does help, Akai NEEDS to add a import midi to track or seq option. The Ren is slowly but surely detaching it's self from the "workaround heavy board it once was..well overdue.

Plus its one of the many features ppl keep asking for. I'm guessing that it might come 1.9, if any other updates (1.8.2.+) doesn't add it in before then.
