Hey there
I have a MPC1000 running JJ OS1 4.99. My 1000 is great, but the q-sliders are shot and just feel need to upgrade. Been researching the 2500 or 5000 and was wondering if my projects from 1000 will work.

I have swapped programs and sequences between the 1000 and 2kXL before and I always expect some parameters to change since theyre different machines after all, but for the most part the beat is still there. I just dont want to run into corrupting my CF card or the data on there.

why not replace the faders, much cheaper than a whole new MPC right?

I think you got your post title wrong btw.

2500 has same JJ OS so you can migrate no problem, 5000 not so much

hey thanks for the tip. yeah mpcstuff.com the sliders arent that much. just looking at vids and specs of the 2500 and 5000 with stars in my eyes. the 2500 looks so awesome. also the pads on my 1000 are so stiff. i must hit the pads incredibly hard to get a sound so i just opt for full level for most of the time. then change velocity in step edit or 16 levels. cool man ill prob just get those sliders.
