Okay im new to the mpc world ...but I just picked up a mpc 2500 and I was wondering once u make a beat and turn it into a song how do u record it onto a cd...I do have the cd/dvd drive and also when I tried to connect to a computer the song wasnt in wav. Format it looked like it was a paper documents file....I only have a mpc 2500 and just a basic laptop...do I need to add some gear to recond my beats to a cd....please help a old school hip-hop junkie

I believe the MPC2500 allows you to sample the outputs and save it as a wave file.
Transfer the wave to your computer and use iTunes or something similar to burn it as an audio CD.

That's the easy way

Should be a burn function if it already has a cd burner. Which 2500 do you have, standard black or LE limited edition white?

Anyway, soon as you insert a blank disc in, it should go into a CD mode or something. But that why you need to read the manual. Here http://www.akaipro.com/mpc2500 download it, read it and cry like a little girl on your own time.
