help me identify gear in this pic?

What I have so far (besides the bulb and cig lighter lol):

- Roland 404
- Mini Nova synth
- Morley Twin Mix
- Novation Bass Station ll
- Space Echo Pedal
- Hall of Fame Reverb Pedal
- Nano Big Muff Pi Distortion Pedal
- APC40 mkII

What I'd like to know what is:


- The black unit, to the right of the Space Echo (with the yellow cables going into it)
- The white unit, just above the Space Echo, (with cables going in on both sides)

The white box is a Boss Chromatic tuner. Often used in guitar setups.

The black box looks like another guitar pedal. Maybe a Strymon Timeline or something.

This is a setup that Shlohmo posted on his Twitter a few days ago. I've been looking into the gear, mainly trying to figure out the signal chain. Gives a tiny glimpse into the workflow.

I couldn't find the Strymon Timeline to save my life. haha

I never even heard of Channel Combiners, until I saw the Morley in this pic.

I think I see a bic lighter in there too... which is probably key in his workflow.

Juiciest piece is that Space Echo pedal. I have always wanted one. I have the Carbon Copy which is pretty dope, but that Space Echo is another level.

i got to mess with one a couple of weeks ago... it's pretty decent. it essentially emulates the real deal pretty well except you don't get the tape sound emulated which is okay... plus you can actually make the tails longer than on the OG one.

I have a few things I don't like about it... but it's a good pedal. It has stereo inputs and outs.. plus it can do line level and switch between direct and send/return in case you are routing through a mixer.. the price is a little steep, but it's border line a niche product so it sort of makes sense.


I wish they would make a more advanced one that had more modes and features and it would be perfect... roland has always done an okay job at emulating the space echo (none as good as this pedal though) for example on the SP sampler series and in the MV samplers... they always lacked controls.. you always only got a wet dry knob, speed, and feedback intensity.... cool but I wish there were more things you could control.

Gas rising. Price is the only thing holding me back. I buy everything 2nd hand and these never pop up on the used market around here.

the ones I've been seeing have been around $250 or so... heard nothing but good pretty much, in regards to the Space Echo pedal...I have one more, slightly dumb question about the pic...

I wonder what the TimeLine is going OUT TO? It has (it looks like) orange and gray cables going out to something...

And what is going INTO the Space Echo? The 2 red cables?

I'm trying to figure out how those delays are being used. I don't see anything (the 404 or either of the 2 keyboards) going through them. Unless there is some gear off the sides that we can't see. I know I see a green cable from the Mini Nova going into the Twin Mix, but I have no clue how the Twin Mix is routed.

yeah stereo out, but stereo out to what? I can see, for instance, the yellow cables going OUT of the Space Echo and INTO the Timeline. But, I can't tell where those other cables I mentioned are going.

I think it's interesting to see other people's setup and signal chain (especially those you admire the works of). Gives you a tiny glimpse into their world and how they are able to create what they do.

Probably has them set up like a guitar pedal chain. Everything plugged up in series and switching them on off when needed.
