midi settings

this is another newbie?? but i need help
how do i set my mpc to send data into logic??? i have a triton hooked to my mpc..i use the mpc's sequencer.....how do i transfer the data into logic ....what midi setting do i need to conect...

Are you wanting the systems synced together? If you just want to get your MPC midi sequences into Logic you & can get them into your computer, via zip for example, you can then open them in Logic.

Otherwise you can look at your syncing options in both the Logic & MPC manuals. Have the MPC as the slave device. Connect from a midi out to the computer's midi in, the same way you would connect any other external midi controller. Then solo the MPC tracks you want to record, start Logic & record your midi data.

Once you have the syncing sorted out it should be easy providing you know your Logic & MPC basics.

thank ill give it a try ....do i need to mess with the soft thru functions???when i send midi from the triton i have to set the global setting to off/ external....
