no sound coming from hardware of MPC studio

I'm running a macbook i7 with os x yosamite. i have the mpc hooked up to mac book. i can hear the instruments using the macbook but nothing from the hardware? i the mlc is some what synced with my macbook because i can see what i do from the hardware to the macbook.

now i can hear through the hardware. but only the plugins that i learned how to download from another topic on this site. now it looks like i just can't here the original mlc sounds that came with it.

it says "there is an error loading this file. please check that it is not broken" which is what the plugins said. i learned how to fix those, but i don't think i can fix the original mpc sounds the same way.

i got the same error message. i had to use safari to download the file again.

The MPC studio doesnt produce sound. Once connected to your MAC it will play through the laptop speakers and sample from the MAC mic.

you can plug in headphones if you like, but those sockets are for the midi cables that came in the box... midi isn't audio
