Analog keyboard

Im looking to add an analog synth to my setup, what would be a good choice? I do hip hop... I was thinking a microkorg... or an alesis ion... something for under $1000

ion is cool. triton racks are real tight too.

moog, fantom, motif

analogue? that rules out the triton, fantom and motif....microkorg isnt true analogue either...

if you feel you need analogue look at moog, early korg and roland stuff...if you feel you cant get by with it being an emulator get the microkorg, if you want to emulate other sounds apart from synth sounds get one of the three i mentioned up there or something by emu...

Dub is rigth on that... there's often a mistake beetwen "pur" analogue & "analogue emulators"...

So if you're going for real analogue synths look at the Waldorf Pulse, Technosaurus Microcon2, MFB Synth2, or a Spectral Audio Neptune2.
They're all under 1000$...

Is a MS 2000 good for hip hop?

MS2000 is a analogue emulate synth not real analogue.
For Hip-Hop? Dre use to use one, so....
But which board isn't good for Hip-Hop?

Yeah, if your looking for "analog"sounds (basses, leads & pads) to produce Hip-Hop, you don't really in the need of "real analog"...
Your first choise was good man, go to MicroKorg...
