I have only had the studio for a few weeks (only used 1.8 ) .
Gotta say Im loving the work flow and for what i do (chopping samples mostly) its been a real boost to my productivity.

However after the update to 1.8.1 my software keeps crashing. My computer is brand new and can easily handle the MPC software ,so I don't think its that (running yosemite).
Seems to be when I try and import a sound from the browser thing-spinning ball then crash. All my sounds etc are coming from an external hard drive- Im thinking that might be the problem?

Very annoying as although Im just messing around and learning the software I inevitably end up working for ages on a beat and just when Ive got a good sound i want to keep, it crashes.
Anyone else have this problem?
Also is there an autosave feature anywhere ?

Autosave can be found in options. First try rescanning your plugins. If you have pro tools also try removing the Avid CoreAudio.plugin file first and then rescan. Same thing was happening to me until I did those steps.

Switched on autosave (thanks for the tip btw) and first time it tried to save-its crashed!

No vst's (apart from Akai) and not running any DAW. Only got the MPC software on my mac at the moment-nothing else.

Very annoying crashing all the time. I can't seem to find the problem (only happens after update to1.8.1 )

Keeps crashing regularly.
Most annoying is autosave now !
...everytime it saves (10 mins the longest time period?!) and its playing or doing something else cpu intensive- it crashes !
Keep losing so much stuff this way-even if it is only 10 mins worth lol

autosave isn't very useful. it causes more problems than it does help. every time autosave pops up if i press a pad at the same time it causes the software to freeze. very annoying. they need to have an autosave option that A works in the background and B saves your project to the last recorded event upon crash so when you reopen the software it gives the option to open the crashed unsaved project. a lot of the times i start a new project and create before saving. they really need to rework this.

Agreed.
Why the autosave doesn't just save the new events till the last save instead of saving the whole thing (audio files 'n all) again I don't know.
