Setting up the MPC Ren to input MIDI info to Logic pro 9 'on

Hi.

Is it possible to just connect the Ren to your Mac and Logic 9 via USB and input MIDI via that one connection? Rather than having to connect via an old fashion MIDI cable?

Can't seem to find anywhere on the net that tells me how to do this. Only seem to be mentions of MIDI leads... so old school!

Yes it is possible...I don't know how to do it with logic, but you have to create an IAC MIDI connection on your mac and connect through it.

there is a detailed guide on how to set up the IAC driver bus, you can use it with any d.a.w. not just ableton live.

I guess it is done just as in Reason...so you can look to a reason thread in this forum and I put a video up there on how to do it in Reason.
