I have just recently bought a MPC Studio and I am just getting to know it more now, I have made a few practice sequence just playing around with it. I just want to know how do I change the MPC from placing the beat/sample automatically in time with the tempo to where I have control, for example when I am hitting a high hat sample really fast it will just assign the sample to the nearest beat making a small gap in time. Thanks for any help

Timing Correct (TC) - top right of the screen in the software, or F1 (T.C.) in the MAIN screen via the LCD.

Set to OFF for the MPC to record everything as you originally played it. Any other setting will apply a timing correction (quantize) and move events to the nearest quantize point (e.g. 1/16 moves an event to the nearest 1/16th of a beat).
