Bug reports & end-user support for Akai's MPC Software 'controllers' including the new MPC Studio 2, the MPC Touch, MPC Renaissance & original MPC Studio and MPC StudioB lack.

First of all, Massive respect to the developers that have brought so many great functions to the MPC software in recent updates! cant wait for more of the same!
However as a seasoned MPC junkie (26 yrs) ive come to analyse my workflow both in the studio & performing live entirely off MPC's & a select range of Hardware synths for the past 16 years..
Having been accustomed to the JJOS 2XL for over a decade, my performance workflow is performed live & sequenced depending on the songs & the elements i bring to live Keys, synth Bass & track manipulation with sequencing on the fly..
I am really a fan of the JJOS function of allowing (shift-PAd) to bring that track to the playhead so that my midi will relate to that instrument connected, or the drum track where i create a break or drop.. Ive requested this since 1.6, nothing to date..

ive also been experiencing any track responding to midi gear, even when not assigned to midi or the particular output midi channel.. this is causing some unnecessary midi info to be recorded from another piece of gear which obviously messes up the recorded parts.. yes i can delete those elements, but its a workflow nightmare as i record a lot for sequencing as im sure we all do with hardware..

im interested in hearing from developers as well as the producers & performers out there to see where this software can take it continually to the next level as we take our MPC's from the studio to the stage..
Big UP

legato scene changing
and hearing scenes on songmode before arranging
real midi configuration output from drum programm c1 -cis -1 d1- dis 1- e1-.. etc

I don't ask for much but I find myself using my Daw more than the Ren because of linear layout Of the daw. This is only a workflow concern of mine when it comes to arranging, it's so efficient to be able to see your entire arrangements (song). I was looking a Reason and how it implements audio and midi tracks in one linear view and thought that something like that would be great for the Ren.

Audio tracks are what I would love to see added. It's cool that you can record audio an assign it to a pad automatically but there is something about seeing a block of audio in your arrangement view that just works better imo.

After owning the Ren for less than a year I have decided to put it to the side in lieu of a daw and midi controller until akai adds these features, if they ever do. The point of the Ren as I understood it was to be able to use the "legendary " akai sequencer on your computer while still being able to use plugins and not have to track everything into your Daw like it is still 2001. Well, I find that I still have to dump my tracks from the Ren into my daw. It doesn't take as long but it's still a chore. Akai should really try to develop an audio ,midi environment similar to Reason.

Yea I feel the same mate. Adding audio tracks is the best thing they could do in terms of workflow with the software.

I would be good if you could play a song and sample it at the same time. Then I could mixdown a song through my outboard eq and bus compressor in real time without having to use a separate recorder. That's how I used to mixdown my tracks on my 4K.

I think with elektrons overbridge coming soon, unless we get another delay :Sigh:. Ren not having audio tracks will push me even more away to just using ableton. Will only use the Ren as a plugin when I need to sample. I am so used to working on an mpc that I look around having to always sample synths to use them in the software but overbridge looks amazing . Be too good to not be using it.

Drag n Drop vsts from within the file browser, would be an amazing idea for my workflow! I can't stand the drop down window, it's so dated, and can never find what I'm looking for with the speed I'd hope for..
