So.. I am about to sell my 2500 (deep sad face) but im going to buy a mpc studio because i am constantly on the road! I have noticed that you can basically do EVERYTHING from the hardware which makes me literally jump for joy. But what i have yet to see is if you can scroll through the presets of a 3rd party plug in from the hardware... say for instance NI's MASSIVE plug-in. It is a beautiful thing... but i can only pull it up via the Hardware... I cant select new sounds within massive via the hardware...

Lastly and probably most importantly, I know for a fact that for whatever reason drums come out WAYYYY harder after being bounced from my MPC2500 than they do from any software i have ever used. I figured since MPC Studio is made by akai like the actual mpc is, it will continue to knock that way.. or does it not come out as hard (please give me an answer after having owned both a real mpc and a digital mpc studio thank you)

Thanks for the consideration!!

It's pretty hit or miss tbh. Mostly miss. I don't use Massive but most of the plugins I use I can't really access the presets on the hardware. The only other thing really is that you can't name from the hardware either.

And yeah I have a 2500 and I get get the studio to knock hard for sure. With the use of plugins of course. A lot of people think the 2500 sounds pretty thin compared to earlier mpcs anyway.

Also, don't post topics twice.
