A single sawtooth synth wave with a hard attack and super-short release, programmed to loop as long as trigger is held (repeat) so that it makes a loud buzz, then lowpass filtered till the buzz sound is gone and you left with a thick, low hum. Usually does the job for me.

My technique comes from vigor training up in the chinese mountains. First they throw you off a cliff to see if you survive a 400ft drop onto a pile of jagged rocks. After that, they stuff you in a plastic drum and everyone takes turns smacking it with a mallet.

I saw this J-Zone interview about how he plays his stuff live into his MPC with a Little Phatty and it inspired me to do the same thing with my Minibrute SE. Result is way more natural sounding to me than triggering bass notes with the MP but thats just my 2 cents.

Dude I use the cable I sample with through the mpc, I pinch the other end that goes into your audio devices then I record the feedback and eq the hell out of it and pitch down a bit!
