I wanted to buy a Akai Mpc 5000 but does any one have a Akai Mpc 3500?

It's the same hardware and firmware.

i know that already but i would like a mpc 3500 if i could get one and its not that much also so why not?

The 3500 was the prototype for the 5000. They're extremely rare and definitely wouldn't be cheaper than a 5000.

Saw one on eBay maybe 3 weeks ago for about $1500. Hardly seemed worth it because it says 3500 on it. That's just my opinion though.

Yeah I agree, it ain't worth it. If I were collecting MPCs, it would be a different story.
