Roland JV 2080 editing app for win 7?

Hello!

Can't see the screen for anything on this JV 2080. The writing is MINISCULE! I'm looking to get a software editing app that would allow me to edit the JV from my computer so I can see what im doing. I did find this Super JV 2080 app for $100. Tried using the trial version and I can't seem to make heads or tails of this app! So far its soooo bad I'd rather struggle with the JV screen than struggle with that nonsense. Is there any other editing software available for me to use? I had something I Believe many years ago, possibly it was put out by the same co. that does logic? can't really remember, but I do remember the used to be applications that worked that do what im describing.

I just remembered the program I used back in the day was Soundiver by emagic. Anyone know if this is still available for a windows 7 platform? I did see that I was discontinued. Emagic generally is anti windows platform as I recall. Thanks again.

Error Launching installer. Tried the first three builds for .exe Program just wont install. Any ideas? Maybe im doing something wrong?

Which one did you end up getting to work? I tried many times with different things, I couldn't get anything to happen. Even simple stuff like backing up with sysex wouldn't work. Nor getting to work with a BCR2000

Short answer = NONE OF THEM!!!!
the first one, something like ctrl or something. It doesn't work. Just get errors and a ton of wasted time.
The second one, Midiquest. I got a copy of the program which is *ucking $350.... hahaha. yeah I never got that thing to sync up right with my JV. Another HUGE waste of time!
I finally GAVE UP!!! I feel like there's a lot that can be done with this kit, but it's so *ing difficult to see the screen and find the paramaters I want to tweak. I just walked away essentially. I know this thing can be used to do ridiculous sounds! Amazing capability on this kit. But Im completely befuddled on how manipulate it. If anyone ever finds any info/guide/tutorial on editing this beast somewhere, please post this thread! I know im not the only one that has difficulty getting past this point with this kit. ty.

I did find this tutorial a whiles back. This guy is attempting to explain exactly what im on about. But its ridiculously long, he doesn't have his thoughts together, he forgets where parameter's are, it's almost too confused to really follow. BUT - He is trying at least! Everybody's got be so... "im not giving away any of my tips" kind mentality all the time. This guy's trying to give you the real on this kit. This is how the Hip Hop guys and stuff use this kit. It's all about editing the patches and creating these Multi's or whatever they call them in Roland speak. It's good info. This guys a very kind guy that's just trying to give people the info necessary to really use this kit the right way.

Also I have the JV 20280 NOT the XV, so I can't really follow it properly because I don't think I have the same parameters and avenues he's digging through. I tried to adapt to 2080, it didn't go so well.

here's legowelt showing you what you can do with this thing. Of course he doesn't in the slightest give you one tiny clue as to how he's acutally editing the kit. Again, the "im not sharing the real tips" approach. But at least he's showing you what can be achieved with this kit

dang man sucks neither of those programs worked for you - there are multiple versions of it available for download, did none of them work?

i prefer to just program the jv manually - i dont have a problem with the screen personally - its the biggest screen i got on any of my gear. i found it pretty straightforward to program - just the same basic parameters many times across many layers.
