MPC 2000xl+External keyboard note repeat problem

Hey guys,

I have this strange problem with my MPC 2000xl. All of a sudden I'm unable to use the note repeat function with an external midi keyboard though it works perfectly with the MPC's pads. I thought it might have been something wrong with said keyboard so I tried with Ableton but same result.

So it seem it's a setting problem, but I haven't been able to find what might cause this.

Anybody has any idea? I use this function a lot with my external keyboard so I would love to find out how to get it back.

its not a problem. note repeat only works from built in pads.

It doesn't, I've been using it with the same keyboard on almost all of my tracks.

Hey man, thanks for the answer, but I doubt it is, I use a Juno 106 which has close to no MIDI paramaters to tweak out of oni and midi channels. And I've tried with Ableton. Both used to work even a couple of weeks ago. But now both don't.

my next guess is your time correct is off - it will only work if you have a quantisation value selected

No problem, man... my time correct is on. I checked with different settings, try to turn it off and on again. So the problem lies elsewhere.

Yeah, obviously. Again, I used that feature countless time in the last year I've had my MPC for. It's just recently it stopped working with an external midi source... it works with MPC pads and I use it extensively.
