Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Between the number of MPC2000s and 2000XLs out there, I got a feeling we'll be keeping Mike busy for a while. Not only will sales of the screens go well, but also more people who need other parts will order them as well. I might customize my other 2000. It needs new pads and sensors either way. So it's worth the investment now. I'm sure other people will be in the same boat and feel safe to dump money into these machines again. :)

Exactly!! I have a 2000xl just sitting around not being used, the screen is still good, i just prefer using my 500, my plan was to mod/customize it and sell it, but people are stand-ofish about putting money into something like that with fear of the screen going out soon, and not having a replacement.. now there will be confidence..

I'm thinking about selling one of my 2000s and buying and XL, now that I don't have to be concerned about screen issues.

Glad we can help. I will get a full video up in the next week or so.

Now we just have to wait for the manufacturing and packaging to finish up. Unfortunately complete custom PCB/Display combos take a bit of time to manufacture.

Long live the MPC2000/2000XLs!

Thanks Mike. I've been on the edge of my seat since the new displays were just shown. But take all the time you need to get it all done. In the meantime, we're all here trying to create more of a buzz, sharing links on FB, email, etc. I'm definitely looking forward to the new video.
Are these displays OLED or LCD? Will you have other colors available?

It would be dope if there were larger displays for the 2000 series that go the whole size of the bezel.

mpcstuff.com wrote: Our previous screens we sold were $165.00, and the new ones will be no more than that. We are actually hoping the screens will run a good amount less than that. At this time, we just don't know because we have to factor in all our costs. That being said, our focus is to get pricing and production completed as quickly as we can. I will update when we know.

Hey Richie,

I am the guy who runs the instagram. Yes, I have cleaned boards in the bath but I can assure you it was not with bath water from the faucet or soap. In fact, I live on well and septic . The water is extremely hard even after going thru a softener. We don't drink the water let alone wash electronic components with it. I washed the boards in the bath because it is a convenient way to pour distilled water and or IPA from a cup or the gallon. The two machines that were shown in the bath were heavily soiled. A sticky liquid like soda pop had been poured in both machines. I was just trying to show how nasty machines can be when you buy on ebay or from whomever.

But since that has become a topic of concern, all pcb's are now cleaned in an ultrasonic cleaner with specially formulated electronic cleaner.

Either way, this is about marunio and the excellent work he has done. I think its something to be excited about. No not everyone is going to invest in a new screen, but there are some who will. That's why we posted the pics. We want to see what kind of demand still exists

Quick question, are the screens already out of stock again or haven't they arrived yet? Will there be some reseller in Europe?
I currently am in contact with someone selling a used mpc 2000 at a fair price but the screen has 2 lines (one vertical, one diagonal), I'm afraid that it will get worse and I don't want to spend any money if I can't even fix it and then have to get a new MPC.
