You have to consider your own set up and what you have installed as well. Some previously or not so previously cracked plug ins and programs causes issues but I rarely hear that come up in conversations. Its not a coincidence that my (and others) REN hardly ever crashes but I'm no saint either .

I know most will probably say that all was fine until...and that may be true but the rules still applies. Not all builds are the same so some conflicts could happen with a fresh legit install of a new program. I could go on but its pointless if its not understood. Those with fresh installs on a CLEAN system probably have less to complain about (may be ). I'm on a PC and constantly doing maintenance to ensure my sh!t runs smoothly.

Beware of your own habits. None the less good luck. I hope those who have issues will somehow find resolutions to their REN issues.

Ok I don't really complain much and have found the MPC software fairly stable so far (been using for over a year so probably since 1.4 or so) and haven't run into this until 1.8.2. I have had some problems with crashing but its been so random and infrequent that I never could recreate them so I never posted a bug report.

Anyway, since 1.8.2 I've had this happen twice:

I start working on a beat and am going smooth but after trying to add a, maybe, 5th or 6th new plugin track the software crashes and every time I load the project and try to add that same plugin it crashes. First time it was Omnisphere and last night it was Addictive Drums (1 or 2). The weird thing is when I reload these projects and try to add any other plugin (haven't tried all of them obviously but I tried a few) it works fine, it's just when I try to add the same plugin that originally crshed the project does it freeze up. Also, if I load up a new session or other beats both of these plugins work fine so I'm not sure if it's related to them specifically... Oh, and I also tried saving it as a new project and that didn't work.

All of these are legit/non-cracked plugins and I'm on a i7 Windows 8 PC with 8 gigs of memory and I'm running the MPC in 32 bit mode.

Any ideas? Super frustrating and frankly pretty **** embarrassing as last night this shit happened while I was working on a beat with a couple producers that use Ableton and FL. They were pretty into the workflow and especially the new chopping and convert to progression and looper features but I **** guarantee they won't even consider it after seeing this happen and basically bring the whole damn session to a halt.

I'm gonna repost this to the 1.8.2 bug thread but I just had to come here first cause I was so pissed off that it was kind of a **** YOU AKAI moment! lol

@phx_chronic it obviously isn't the computing power of your workstation. It has to be the software. Cracked or not, if the software was written right, the plugin itself should crash and not the entire project.

What happens when you open the project in 64 bit mode? Seeing that you have 8gigs may be you need to utilize that other 4 gigs which i think can only be done in 64bit mode. Might be worth a try.
