You have to consider your own set up and what you have installed as well. Some previously or not so previously cracked plug ins and programs causes issues but I rarely hear that come up in conversations. Its not a coincidence that my (and others) REN hardly ever crashes but I'm no saint either
I know most will probably say that all was fine until...and that may be true but the rules still applies. Not all builds are the same so some conflicts could happen with a fresh legit install of a new program. I could go on but its pointless if its not understood. Those with fresh installs on a CLEAN system probably have less to complain about (may be
Beware of your own habits. None the less good luck. I hope those who have issues will somehow find resolutions to their REN issues.

What happens when you open the project in 64 bit mode? Seeing that you have 8gigs may be you need to utilize that other 4 gigs which i think can only be done in 64bit mode. Might be worth a try.
