MPC Renaissance price drop

Just found out AKAI dropped the price of the Ren this morning.

I'm totally speculating here, but usually when companies drop the price on their flag ship product it usually means something new is coming out or being announced soon. Any body have any insight into this? or am I completely off my rocker? I ask because I'm considering the REN but I might hold off if theres something in the works.

They did announces that prototype last year. Back then I had this conversation with Dan.
He told me that they would releas it soon. I then told him that I am out, if they do not fix the problems we had on the Ren- Studio software.

Advancements and progress have been made. We've seen a new type of keyboard with hi res color screen.

My Advance 61 is on Pre-Order RIGHT NOW. Too bad Akai will most likely miss the ship date. (Spring 2015) GC says they won't have them available till July.

I've been eyeing this Ren Prototype for a while. If there is an upgrade path for current users, I may plunk down for it once it drops (late 2016). But if there is no discount for current Ren/Studio users, I AM OUT!

Upgrade path? With Nukai? Remember that Jack is a bastard...so I guess you shouldn´t gfet too hopeful about it!
