Like I said...I'm a former Ensoniq ASR X Pro user and since my ASR just died, I'm forced to use an MPC 2000 XL to make my beats...and you know what..I don't like it at all.
First of all I don't like the idea that I can't play my beat while monitoring incoming samples while in sample mode..with the ASR X Pro..I can edit and truncate my samples on the fly while my sequence is playing my beat. If the MPC is so great, why can't it do that?

because that model can't... they only thought to put that feature on the next one that came out after that one (who knows why).. however look at the bright side, the mpc at least has a sequencer that works.. hahahaha

Not being able to sample or listen to the REC IN while having a sequence play is something I hate too.

My so called work around was getting a Mackie 1402.
