JJ OS 128XL Chord Tracks

Lets talk about chord tracks for a moment.

I got started this morning creating templates for chord scale degrees. I thought maybe I could save this to a sequence to load up later as a template for quick song writing ideas.

I found out quickly that this doesn't work. It seems like if a change is made to a pad, then it is recalled after powering on and off again.

So then I thought maybe I could save the entire memory and label it for a specific scale. This also did not work.

Where is this data saved then, is it the internal flash memory? If this is the case, can it be changed so that I can load up different settings according to the key I wish to work in?

Try making different folders with the name on it for every setups , and save your MPC1K_setups.sys (non-renameable) file inside . Reload the single file individually. A setup doesn't load automaticly in a projet , or entire memory load, or after a upgrade.

Or else you will have to make them as patterns inside a program. (mode pad 10)

Yo Pazkalin thanks for the suggestion but I tried this also and doesn't work either.

Anyone find out how to save?

FLASH memory.. Its this for both XL and OS3 and really needs to be saved as a program or at least a set or something. If we could build our chord sets and save them with a name, it would be great for added power and flexibility.
I would just make a folder with the so called chord programs of chords and name em pentC#m or mixF#Maj for instance. or you can recall work later and have the appropriate chord banks that are in key. Cos we have to remake em every time and I have to relearn what I was playing ages ago.
So this is needed to be amended if it can and I guess it will free up some flash ram.
