sample bleeding- song mode

I have 2 different samples for 2 different sequences and lets say the intro has one sample playing and when it switches to the verse sequence another sample begins, so my question is how do you get the intro sample to suddenly cut off? I believe I saw a vid somewhere on this but can't find it now. Any help is appreciated.
