Sometimes I want to use the MPC software on my laptop on the road, meaning I don't have the hardware available. I've tried but no sounds come out, I registered the software and hardware.

When selecting "Windows audio" in the Audio preference, and clicking on "Test" audio does come out of my speakers but when in the software I can't play any sequence or listen to my samples, What am I missing?
Thanks for your help

Yes, I don't have my controller hooked up and can play my songs just fine.

Do you have the software up to date? I know is kind of silly question but first versions of MPC sw didn't let you use it without the hw hooked up. If it is not that I cannot think of another thing
