If you're getting the mirage for super cheap then it could be cool as a midi controller but don't expect to do hot things with it.

@ Mr Debauch no, i read up & wanted those who have more knowledge. Everyone's on the s950 or s900 combo that i see. @ Richie i did think of it as a midi link up thanks 4 the reply

yeah the s900 and s950 are easy to use compared to the mirage... if you can get it for very cheap it might be fun (tedious to program but maybe cool results). It's up to you. If you are getting it just for the keys, it's an old keyboard.... maybe get something that is newer or built better.

Looking off the beaten path, you can find some pretty cool stuff 
As dope as the 900/950 are, there's a lot of other ill stuff out there, and can be had for cheap

No, I saw one at a garage sale for $25, I sort of regret not picking it up but for 4 seconds of sample time I don't really need another sampler in my setup, I already have a number that barely get used. Worth checking out for sure if you're going for that gritty sound.
