MPC 1000 JJOS 128xl QLink issue

While using one of my Qlink faders I'v noticed that the value continues to change even after I stop moving it.

At first I thought it was a bug so I installed the latest version thinking maybe some one has addressed the issue and that maybe it had been fixed by now.

So after testing the other qlink and it working properly I've come to the conclusion or just had the idea that it maybe a hardware issue.

Can anyone tell me what might be the reason for this odd behavior?

Also while im on the subject of maybe opening up my mpc, my record gain knob is unresponsive. What could cause this to happen, how would I go about fixing it?

Sounds like the qlink fader needs looking at, might just need a clean up, might need replacing, not a big job. Same with the rec knob, try deoxit first.
