Attention DJ's...

I'm in the market for another DJ mixer ($1000+) with built-in effects for DJing with Traktor and vinyl records. I'm not much a turntablist but more a vinyl/CD/DVD/digital DJ.
I currently have a Denon DN-MC6000 and in the past I owned many Numarks and in clubs I've used Rane and Allen&Heath mixers. The more the inputs, the better for my CDJ's, laptop, 1200's and drum machines/samplers.
Please give me some ideas on what to be on the look out for to purchase. Cheers!

I don't know about digital DJing much (close to zero), but Denon DN-MC6000 seems to me that it is very capable DJ mixer + controller. Anything wrong with DN-MC6000?

Yeah, it's a Denon. Get a Rane. Many great models to choose from.

In my opinion A&H have some really good mixers for the price they ask. There are many products of the X:One-Series that I like.
The Prices for a Rane compared to A&H are higher, but there you have the Scratch-live soundcard included.
If you use Traktor, I would choose the A&H-Mixers.

a pioneer djm-700 or 800 you can find used for even less than that. i didn't want to like them but i have really come around to it - and it is, for better or for worse, the industry standard. you've got a lot of options at that price point. even NI has some traktor specific stuff you could look at that might cut down on your cabling.

I'm kinda out of the loop on the newest DJ gear and I only know the gear that I've used in the past 30 years. Back in England, many clubs I DJ'd at used the Allen & Heath Xone mixers which I were amazing but out of my reach cost wise... until now.

As a long time Denon DJ fan, my Denon MC-6000 mixer is still Excellent! BUT, I'd like more built-in effects and inputs for turntable/CD/DVD/hardware inputs since all the effects for the 6000 are for digital media in Traktor via USB from laptop. If the mixer has a USB port for a thumb drive... mmmmm, ok. If it's got MIDI... mmmm, ok. I want an all around mixer that I will stand the test of time and be expected to work flawlessly all the time.

I know the smaller Rane mixers are great for turntablists and I found the the faders are rock solid (no bleed) but I'm more for mixing songs than beat juggling so I prefer the 19" rack mixers.

Most of the A&H got the Penny&Gilles-Fader, not bad at all.
