Let's say I've been working on a track, and I'm working on Sequence 5.
I've had a cymbal track from the get-go, and I've used it in every sequence, but I've been lazy to rename it to anything relevant.
Then I decide I want to call it something long, like "Jazz Master Cymbal Vol. 5" and I definitely can't be arsed to write that on all sequences, lazy as I am.
The trick is to double-click on the track title in software so that you're in writing mode, then change the sequence to, say, 4, via hardware, so you'll still in writing mode...then hit enter, and the track gets renamed in the desired sequence (that you just selected).
I think you have to do that twice to get it working, but I guess it's sort of quick if you have several sequences and you only want to rename the tracks and give them a long name that you can't be arsed to type, and copying tracks/events wouldn't do as that would replace the existing events.
