A while back I borked my CF reader pins and decided to install a HD instead. Unfortunately the card was also ruined, some of the projects were supremely messed up, file corruption etc.. I was able to "recover" some of them using software but not all of them made it.

So when I got the hard drive put in I decided to just dump everything on it (basically everything I've ever made on the MPC 1000), including the recent messed up project folders/files.

The problem is, I don't even remember now which ones they were, and I'm experiencing some weirdness with some of my projects.

I also recently switched back to JJOS2XL from JJOS3 which for about a year or so was what I was using.

I might need to make a YouTube video or something just to even properly explain this...

Some of the projects I load either don't work (wav files play fine but the sequences don't work or have "click" sounds), or I get these weird glitchy sound effects.

I'm guessing it's a combination of both the corrupted files from the bad CF card AND trying to load JJOS3 projects on JJOS2XL??

I can't remember which newer features on JJOS3 I was using which might do something like this if the second possibility is affecting some of the projects.

It's weird man. Sometimes in a good way. A wack beat I made a while ago suddenly turns into a dope beat. I'm getting weird crazy sound effects, glitchy stuff, bass tones, and stuff out of nowhere.

Anyone ever have these types of issues? Maybe the MPC is haunted :hmmm:

I guess what I'm asking is for those who are familiar: what are the limitations/common side effects with trying to load OS3 projects on OS2XL?

The beat in my sig sounds like one of the "wack beats turned dope" but it was actually made when things were cool. But if gives you an idea of what some of this craziness sounds like. Sometimes the wav files 'appear' fine in the trim screen but when I play them I get weird slow motion sounds effects, reversing out of nowhere, etc. Weird. Maybe I'll just roll with it

I've loaded an OS3 project into OS2XL yesterday. The programs sounded strange because:

1. Aftertouch to Pitch was set to +16 for all pads
2. The "B. PITCH" (in the Pitch tab) was set to 0.0K for all pads

Fixing these two turned everything back to normal. Still, I wouldn't do it again.

How could you fix this? I cannot find these settings but i think i might have a similar problem
