Exchange tips and tricks for the Akai MPC4000
By WOEBOT Sun Aug 02, 2015 10:13 am
Hi,

I've just picked up a used 4000. The pads seem meaner and stiffer than on the original unit I demo'd back in 2006.

Are the original MPC pads a bit thicker and softer than the MPC 2500 pads?

Can anyone recommend good replacement pads? Are these any good?

Many thanks

The pads on my 2500 have the same feel as my 4000s, but you might find that the rubber pads on the older MPCs gets a bit stiffer with age.

Yes the MPC Stuff fat pads for the 4000 are good, especially with the additional corx added. If you want some fat pads shipped direct from the UK (1st class post, no customs duties), PM me, I have blue pads in stock along with black, grey and red, all come with free corx to increase sensitivity.

IIRC the messages will stay in the outbox folder until they have been read. And read messages can then be found in the send folder...
