Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

I mean, I already run all my samples through the 8-outs and into individual channels on my mixer for more control and shaping of the sounds...and did a pretty decent job of recording them into the sampler at the same levels...but there's a few here and there that are a little loud or soft for my liking, does the 2000XL really not have a way to adjust the volume of the sample itself? I swear I've never seen such a function in all the menus and my other more serious rackmount samplers all have this feature. I'm just wondering why this wouldn't be included. Were they just relying on people to make adjustments in the Mixer section and with the 8-outs? It's kind of annoying if say, I have an MPC out and channel on my mixer dedicated to hats, but if one it too quiet/loud compared to the others, I have to eat up another MPC output and mixer input just because I have to route it separately from the rest.

yea you'd use the mixer section. if you need to turn a sample UP though, yer best bet is to instead turn all the others DOWN to compensate, then turn it all back up somewhere later down the road. that's pretty standard mixing knowledge though.
