Moving files from USB

So, Ak.sys is pretty much useless to me because it doesn't work on any of my computer (new operating systems).

I want to be able to back up my files as well as move drum packs from a USB to my intern HD. Is there no way of copying or moving FOLDERS from one drive to another?

I'm pretty much using tedious work arounds. Still in disbelief that they didn't include a way to move files under the utilities menu.

The device is over 12 years old... The world was a much different place when it came to data and storage. I have had the most success using Ak.sys in a virtual machine.

Try virtualbox or VMWare to install a Win XP instance, open Ak.sys and copy your files. I have done gigs of sample transfers that way.

Aksys works fine if you have a virtual machine. I use xp virtual machine and can drag and drop samples all over. if you are doing a lot of files. like a lot of files. You have to wage how much time you would spend navigating the mpc to drag and drop, or select and load.

I happened to have all the equipment i need so rather than spend hours dragging and dropping I unscrewed the mpc, disconnected the hard drive, connected it to my pc, dragged and dropped all the samples, reconnected the hard drive, rescrewed it in.

i saved much more time, moving gigs of samples over, and coming back to the mpc just to see an error or something.
