Turn off sound selection by PADs/MIDI ?

Hello MPC users!

Im playing MPC1000 (JJOS1 5.00) with Arturia Beatstep Pro via MIDI. Not sync mode, but playing sound by midi notes, and i noticed that i can't do anything with sound while it playing when in Extended Mode Page because sounds selecting very rapidly so its impossible to catch and tweak, for example TUNE parameter, because when sound played it automatically being selecting by midi note, as well as pressed by corresponding PAD.
The only way to tweak parameter is to stop Beatstep Pro, select sound manually, tweak and then play again.
Are there any chance to switch off selecting sound by received midi notes as well as pads to tweak needed parameter on the fly?

you can use hold note in sequencer mode, but that wont answer your problem. Wait till you turn on midi note to button and then you will know crazy. I use note to track select and just turn it off when i change to mpc workflow. That is how it is. you sending a midi note is just like hitting the pad. It will always do this and this is the MPC workflow. You can change some parameters with CCs from beatstep pro to MPC., but wont do much besides volume and filter.
We all have this problem by the way, but we do not really see it as a problem so much as a limitation you will have work around. Unless there is something I do not know about, anyone??? yeah that is how it is....

Put the program you want to edit on track 17 (or any track not receiving midi). You can edit it there while it still plays in response to incoming midi on its original track.
