True, I have switched over about 3 PCs in house to Win10. Looks like it just copies the program files to a new directory, and the registry handles the rest. But ProTools is a fickle ****, so I'm gonna run some tests. Probably make a disk image of my current Win7 setup and revert if all hell breaks loose.

Since its a windows machine, why not just create a restore point?
Only downside is if your HD goes bang you've lost everaythang!

It's an OS change, so restore points are moot. But Win 10 will allow you to roll back to your old WIN7/8.1 install. (at the expense of massive HDD space being used). My SSD ain't got fo dat! The disk image would guarantee little to no down time on my MAIN Studio rig.

Noticed some strange behavior over the weekend while spinning a party... Win 10 hiccups during file search functions something serious. I wasn't connected to a network so maybe those process that are calling home are to blame. I don't think Microsoft is doing anything more than Apple has been doing for years.

There are already tools out there that deny homecalls from win 10 so that not the real problem..
besides that for Cubase users it´s not recommended to update to 10 right now. Cubase uses Quicktime for some media integration and for now it´s still buggy! many legit Cubase 7 & 8 users have reportet this..
