MPC 2500 and Microkorg XL MIDI Settings

Hello, im new in this Forum.

I got a question:

I just bought a microkorg xl and i want to record midi datas into my MPC. I set it up like this:

Microkorg midi in : Mpc Midi out a
microkorg midi out : mpc midi in

MPC: midi track // Midi channel 1a

the MPC recieves midi datas, but i cant hear anything. When im recording into the mpc nothing happens.

can someone help me out of this mess?

yaaah very cool to use MIDI but it does not carry a sound .. that's why you hear **** null

Make sure there is a MIDI cable from the MPC MIDI OUT to the XL MIDI in. Make sure that you actually selected the right MIDI OUT Channel on the MPC. Then make sure you connected the XL audio outs to your mixer or headphones.
