My MPC 2000XL MCD Version won't recognize my CF card

Hi,
I just got this MPC and it's driving me crazy. I am currently trying to use without getting the classic "matrix" freeze, which always happen when I am trying to change the folder directory of my SD card.
So I thought, Hey! Why wouldn't I try with a CF card! So I purchased one, put it in the CF integrated reader of the MPC, and it just won't recognize it. Or maybe it does but I can't access any of my files. The File line is empty, Device is ATAPI and Type is ???? (when using my SD card it shows PC). In the format section it shows Vender=GENERIC, and Product=IDE CARD READER.
I thought maybe it was because the CF card was originally formated in FAT32. So I changed it to FAT16, just like the SD card. Well, it still does not work.
I have the feeling to have been a bit fooled on this MPC, I now consider to sell this ASAP and get a 2500. But that's off topic.
Please help me make the MPC recognize the CF card, I have a little bit of hope that when it will, I might start building some beats.

Try formatting the card with your MPC instead of the computer. I'm not sure if the card would work otherwise.
