welcome to the forums!

if you really formated the hdd in your mpc the way that is described in the link to apple support, then you now have formated the disk with a "mac os extended" filesystem.
while this might work with your regular external harddrives this might not work with the mpc! you might be able to mount and access the disk from your mac and read and write files to it, but the mpc will not be able to read the disk at all!
either you use the "fat" filesystem option in the format utility on your mac or better just format the harddrive right from within the mpc as it is reccomended by akai.
you can find the format option by clicking "mode" and then either pad 2 "load" or pad 3 "save" and from there f3 "utility and then choose "do:" "format" on the top field.

akai reccomends to always only use the format option in the mpc with any storage media be it hdd or sd-card and even reformat after every os-update to prevent errors.

peace, jo

U r a pro.. After I formatted it with my Mac it was unreadable in my mpc.. But after formatting on the mpc everything was good. I'm such a news but everything is coming together now. Thanks Jo!

You'll probably get that message each time. Don't format it as a Mac hard drive. Format it in the MPC and just hit cancel if that message comes up on the computer.
