Hey there,
I have a 16 channel mixer going into Logic, and wondered if I got either an mpc 2kxl or 3k with 8 outs if I could sync it up with an S950 so that I could have say 8 pads on the mpc playing samples on the mpc, each being recorded via an individual out, and I could use another of the 8 mpc pads to trigger samples from the s950 with each of those being individually recorded out of the s950?
Also, say if I am just using the 2k or 3k with 8 individual outs but have more than 8 samples playing from the mpc in one song (eg 16), how easy is it to record each sample out separately? Would I have to record the first 8 on the individual outs, then manually assign the 8 outs to the remaining pads and restart recording the track?
I like the idea of being able to tweak the arrangement of the tracks and the individual sounds slightly in the DAW after jamming on the mpc.
Thanks
