S950 & Mpc2000xl Combo to Track sync

Hello there!

I am owner of a S950 and Mpc2000xl.

I am a beat producer from 1999 but the quality of PC sound makes me to move on hardware.

Now I am trying to find the best way to make beats using the sound of S950.

I have several problems.

1) I will use samples from pc. What is the best way to transfer the samples to S950? By recording, disc, port? I will need ad/da converter for this?

2) When I have the samples on S950, how can I play it different samples to mpc?

3) When I will have the beat on combo, how can I transfer it to PC? I will need ad converter?

1 - sample into the s950, that way it will sound the best it can. just a regular mono cord will do the trick.
2 MIDI sync with your MPC, this you will need to read the manual for.
3 Record the audio source into the PC.

+ if the quality of PC is what makes you wanna do hardware, why sample the PC ?

I want to take the sound of hardware (s950) and then this sound to sequence in DAW, I will have a loss of quality? Or else how can I export the beat from hardware?

You clearly have no idea why you even bought these machines except that you want that so called "gritty warm" sound. Just figure it out yourself before asking on a forum, experiment with it, read the manual of both machines.

Off course you will have quality loss. you are sampling into a 12 bit machine at who knows what samplerate..
It doesn't make sense to sample sounds from the pc to s950, back to pc to sequence. Why do you even have the mpc2000xl??? Just sell the samplers man...

I think that nobody here record the mpc beats to a track recorder, thus anyone record from hardware to software.

I use the mpc2000xl as a sequencer.
