Pic from GTAV is fake btw, homie doesn't actually have an MPC in the game. Imagine if they really put it there and you could make beats as a side game...

Finally decided to give up the home cinema setup (you can still see the screen on the left wall) in order to have a better space for the music setup. No more home cinema sucks, but it's the best place regarding acoustics in my flat, and i can start doing acoustic treatment.

I also need to build a studio desk that will have space for all the rack gear in some sort of ergonomically usable way...

Ergonomics definitely look like an issue with your setup as it is. With a nice desk and proper studio chair you should be well on your way.

I'm slowly haemorrhaging gear and keeping the stuff I like and use. I'm hoping a 2Box drum kit will be the next purchase though.

I agree about the ergonomics, really really need a desk! It's not as bad as it looks, still very usable, but could be so much better, it's definitly next on my list.

PS: The gun is just a plastic BB gun, no worries. I'd never want a real gun in my flat. Just serves as a CD stopper... Haha.

I'm hoping to sell it because it's a big ole lump to have sitting here not getting enough use. Well, I sampled about 5000 drum samples through it the other month when I was bored, but it's not getting enough day to day use to justify keeping it. I want an electronic kit more than anything at the minute, so that means making space for it.

I've sold off most of my gear as well, keeping only what I use. It all fits easier in my livingroom. But I really need a new desk. My desk is similar to Dvon's. But I bought it back in 2003 and it's fallen apart over the past few years. I'm not sure which desk I'll replace it with. But I'm gonna go for something less wider than what I have, so I can rearrange the livingroom for more space when I start replacing furniture.

yea @distorted Ive had mine going on 5+ years now and it ridiculously wobbles. I''m thinking of detaching the rack portion and using it to build a new foundation underneath but still keep the perfect fitting racks. I've seen some crazy dope ikea hacks that i've been looking at online but i have been pretty hands on with the word work lately.

Had to give up the view for a better acoustic position. The big window front with the view is at the other end of the room. Problem was that the room is asymetric at that end, with a wall on one side and a big opening leading to the kitchen at the other side... Also couldn't really think about acoustic treatment in that corner. So i gave up the view, but i still have it when i sit on the couch playing video games...

Ahh I see. I was thinking "acoustics, why else would he" at least you still have access to the view for chill time. It must sound way nicer now that you don't have rattling huge windows behind the monitors.
I really dig views whenever I'm creating it's like a quick mind check whenever I look up from the technology table.

Pretty much like that, yep. Not very practical but for the moment it works pretty well actually. The monitor controller isn't in a very good place either (next to the turntable). I really need that desk (but wanna do it right, probably build it myself)!
