I didn't know whether or not to post this in the Ren section or other Beat Boxes section. I searched for this but it's tough to find. The TR8 and TB3 both have scatter functions. I'm trying to figure out how to use these features via midi using the MPC Ren as the master. I've read that it is possible to control the scatter functions via midi, but I can't find out how to anywhere. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

midi implementation chart has cc numbers for scatter controls... i think its
68 - scatter type
69 - scatter depth
70 - scatter sw

I'll def look into this but how do i use it? what do the numbers 68 67 and 70 mean? I usually use pads to trigger sounds. I don't know too much else. Thanks for the link.

dazastah wrote:midi cc is midi control change message.. you can use these numbers to control things like track volumes / pan / effects etc. these things in the ren are automated by qlinks not triggered by pads... you can assign qlinks midi cc when the track type is a midi pgm.

Nice. So how would I know which Q link does what? Is there a way to tell? Or just mess around til It works? So once the midi channel is set to control the TR8, I should then mess with the q link sliders for the shuffle? Or does a specific midi data track have to be set up because it's automated? Sorry if these are dumb questions, but I'm not all too familiar with midi. Thanks bro
