I haven't kept up with the Ren since I was alpha testing the software (I bailed before it went into beta). Did they announce anything recently?

Hey, I just checked Pete Goodliffe's Twitter. Apparently 5 hours ago he posted "Looks like there might be some MPC news soon...". Curious what that means. 1.9 or the mysterious big announcement that is scheduled for October 7th?

Based on how the Akai hype machine has worked recently, if there were a big announcement coming October 7th there would be cryptic drops on their Facebook page, and someone would have posted it here. This October 7th date was just a post made by someone on a board like this one. I don't believe there was anything ever scheduled.
