Nothing to indicate otherwise, we'll have to wait for the reviews or a more indepth video from Akai. If I had a review copy I'd have put a review up today, but Akai never send me anything like that.

The touch screen seems cool. But that's about it. The unit looks flimsy from the video. You can see it move around while they guy in the second video is making beats with it. There's no weight to it, and it probably don't sit flat on any surface if it's made a cheaply as half the gear I've seen in recent years. For what Akai expects to sell it for, that really puts me off.

Doesn't look like he's done anything other than summarise the Akai product page, that's not a review, and he's clearly not got his hands on one yet.

So for £499 we get the controller and an MPC Software licence - what about existing Ren and MPC Studio owners? They already have an MPC Software licence - is there going to be a discount for them to get this new controller?

And MPC Studio owners - they'll already have a separate audio interface - are they happy to pay the £499? Is there to be a cheaper touch screen controller without an interface inside?

From what we see so far in these videos, it's becoming more obvious that they just wanna cater to those who are starting out and forget about the rest of us. I dont know who any of these producers are. Akai don't care much for our generation.

Very good questions.

Even the younger generation are dissapointed, from the comments made on sonicstate. Jackoff O'Donnell will never learn. I feel that he's destroyed the legacy of the MPC to the point of no return. I bet Roger Linn's expression must be like this... :WTF: :Sigh: :vomit:

i really question the implementation of a

2-in/2-out audio interface

into that tiny chassis. i don´t get it.
