MPC 2000XL Samples (from Mac to MPC)?

Hi!
I just got my MPC2000XL and don't have the manual (yet). I was wondering if there's any way to create/edit aiff samples on my Mac (G4- OS 9.2.2 & 10.3.7) and then somehow transfer them to my MPC? I have 2 250 zip drives- one hooked up to my Mac, and a scsi one hooked up to my MPC. I was hoping to save samples to zip on my Mac zipdrive and then transfer them to the MPC drive. Is that possible? I know the formatting for MPC is different, so how would I get around that? Is there a downloadable editor for the Mac (OS 9 or X) that will format the zip so that it'll work on both zipdrives?

Thanx Nano, but aiff to wav is not the issue. How do I get the wav files onto my zip from my Mac and then onto the MPC so that my MPC can read it and accept it. Will it just automatically pick up any wav files on the zip? Don't the samples need to be saved to some sort of a directory? Banks? Don't the zips need to be formatted for the MPC?

if you save your sample as a 16 bit pc file,
and you put .wav behind it, you can just drag the files to your zip disk and the MPC will recognize it.

Amadeus is an excellent cheap audio editor for the Mac. It can save as edited aiffs as wav.

Format all your zip disks on the MPC, but don't partition them. The Mac will read those ok. Just drag wavs from the Mac to the zip disk & the MPC will read those ok.

Thanx featherboy for the excellent tip. I also have SoundEdit on OS 9- and that can save as wav as well. Quicktime Pro can also save as a wav file, but as I said the wav issue is not really an issue. It's the formatting. I will definitely give your suggestion a shot (about not partitioning on the MPC).
In my research, I also found a program called CDXtract. Anyone have any success with that (as in creating programs/banks on the Mac that the MPC can read)?
