AKAI MPD218 setup

Hi guys, im new to using the AKAI MPD218 and I simply cant get mine to work.
I have downloaded the MPD218 editor and set the MIDI input and output to the MPD218. When i send a preset to my hardware it says that it was succesfully sent. But whenever i press a pad there is no sound at all.
I hope someone can help me, since i have been looking forward to trying out the MPD218.

What software are you using? You need to go into it's preferences and make sure the 218 is set as it's controller surface. I have the 226. I turn it on, scroll to the Reason preset, and open Reason with the 226 selected as the controller surface-

I´m using the MPD218 editor, do I need any other software than that? I am not quite sure on how i can set the 218 as the controller. Am I suppose to do this in the Editor or on my computer?
