MPC 2500 JJOS XL Multi tracking to daw

Hi everyone! I need some help!
My studio setup is:
Mpc 2500
Ableton Live
Scarlet 2i4.
I need to multi track out my beats, doing the mutes on the samples while tracking them out (muting live with the track mute)
I already know that the scarlet 2i4 doesn't has capability to do dat as it only has to xlr inputs.
I need to know what do i need to track out a beat, all of the tracks at the same time to my daw!

What I've done in the past since my soundcard has limited ins as well is:

sequence arrange finished "track" in song mode. then create/export one LONG sequence of that ""song." Sync up DAW & MPC (mpc as slave to daw). Record one by one (via track mutes). Probably best to leave an empty bar or 2 at beginning of song.

Keep in mind you might still have to shift & re-align all your audio in ableton as it is almost certain there will be slight jitter when recording....especially if using additional external gear. Its why time-pieces like these exist http://www.innerclocksystems.com/

The thing is i am not used to line up tracks on the mpc and i need to make the mutes listening all the tracks tracks at the same time! Isn't there anyone that can help me with this?

If your interface has only two inputs, you can only track two tracks at a time. If you want to 'record' live mutes , record them into your MPC sequences first, and then track them two at a time into Live. Why do you need to do live mutes into a DAW? If you need to hear audio tracks or software instruments from the DAW while you record your track mutes into the MPC sequencer, you just need to sync Live via MIDI to your MPC.

Yes, plenty (hundreds) of audio interfaces with more than 2 inputs. For example, Focusrite make plenty of models, including a 6 input, and an 18 input. Have a search around on the net. But for the use you describe you can make do with the 2 in interface and use the method in my previous post.

Do check my book out, it sounds like it will help out in a lot of areas, and it's a lot cheaper than having to buy a new interface. Good luck.
