MPC 2500 setup advice

MPC 2500 setup advice

Hello
I wasn't planning on buying a mpc 2500 yet but I got a good deal on one and I could use some help with setting it all up.
Ofcourse I used google and stuff but it's a bit confusing.

Saw the diagram in the manual but I don't want to spend money on things I don't really need.
I got a pc, nice amplifier, no studio monitors just normal speakers
Got the turntable/mixer part already covered but the rest of it I could use some help with.

Do I need a little studio mixer to hook up the amplifier or can I hook it up on the mpc?
Do I need a audio interface?(already did some research just in case)
What kind of cables do I need?
Things I really need to look out for?

Any help is appreciated for this newbie, thanks.

You can most likely go from the MPC L and R output directly into your amp to the speakers.

If you want to record your beats to the computer to edit and mix, and interface is a good option. Otherwise you could go in to the onboard soundcard if it has a line input. Ther other option is a CDR recorder or a digital recorder (tascam etc.)

MPC is 1/4", turntable is usually RCA.

The 2500 only has line inputs, if you have a DJ turntable such as Technics 1200 or Pioneer etc. you will need a DJ mixer or a phono preamp of some kind, before you can sample in to the MPC

This is my first time messing around with hardware but now I can finally hook it all up

Nice, will save me some money if I don't need a studio mixer.

I'll go with the audio interface because of the edit/mix option.

Time to get some cables and look for a simple dj mixer.
